Hi all!
Just jumping in with another quick weekly workout diary. Last week I was training for the annual round-the-island walk here on Guernsey – it’s 60km around all of the cliffs and flats of the island, which I’m estimating will take about 11-12 hours, but I haven’t really done that much clever estimating. (Nice one, Steffi!) I’ll let you all know how it goes in a week or so’s time!
So this is what I got up to last week:
Monday – We got up early and went on a major 4hr walk along the cliff edge of the island in as part of our training for the walk.. I filmed a video training for it that I still haven’t got online yet but I will stick it in an upcoming blog so please stay tuned on that one!
Tuesday – Rob was going for a swim and so invited me to go to the gym with him. I decided to hit the bike and do some abs as I was needing something relatively easy after Monday’s epic walk. However, I also completed Day 1 & 2 or Jillian Michaels’ squat challenge. The image is below and you just have to follow the 30 day guide and you can share your updates using the hashtag #JMchallenge.
Wednesday – I went on a quick 5km run with my friend and before I went as part of my warm up, I did the Day 3 Squats from the #JMChallenge
Thursday – I was on bed rest after a minor procedure at the doctors (I’ll fill you in later – if I’m brave enough!)
Friday – Rest Day. This wasn’t necessarily intentional – I was just very busy all day from 8 til late!
Saturday – Caught up on squats from #JMChallenge (Days 5 & 6!)
Sunday – My mum was in town which meant that I was indulging a little more than usual. I woke up and ran 5km before we went for brunch and I even did the next day of the squat challenge too as a warm-up. Winning!
Do you want to start sharing your workout diary too? It’s great for accountability. Let me know in the comments below how you got your sweat on this week!
