Whatever happened to those old blogging trends when we all used to answer fun questions so that people could get to know us better? I’m planning a 50 Facts about Me Youtube video but in the meantime, I thought finding an old-school blog quiz would be fun to do. It also happens to be a great filler for this blog during my 30 Days of Blogging when I’ve had a busy day and my mum is visiting. We’re going out for dinner this evening as the first of many birthday celebrations for me. I’ve decided to enter my 30s with a bang, clearly…
So without further ado, here is the A-Z bloggers’ Q&A:
A: Attached or Single?
Very much attached. I’ve been with Rob for over 4 years now and we are very happy together. He is from Cape Town and I am from the North of England, yet we live in Guernsey having moved here from London and having met in Costa Rica. It’s a funny old world.
B: Best Friend?
My best friend is Chris. He is my go-to for all kinds of adventures. I love that he finds pretty much everything hilarious which makes the day-to-day so much more fun. I feel like if you looked up LOL in the dictionary, his face would be there. He’s great at complaining too so I love nothing more than a glass of wine and huge bitching session with him. We filmed a drunken Best Friend Tag for my Youtube channel a few months ago and both of us have been too afraid to even look at the footage. I must do that on a rainy day soon!
C: Cake or Pie?
Ummm, I do like cake, but as a northern girl there’s nothing better to me than pie, chips, mushy peas and gravy. Ideally from a pub with a fire. Cracking.
D: Day of Choice?
Fridays. I keep fun activities for this day like blogging and happy hour (ha!). But since I started working for myself, I absolutely love Monday mornings, where I’m not rushing around or on a commute. I also try not to schedule anything for a Monday morning so that I can ease into the week, clear my inbox, write my to do list and have coffee etc. I love it.
E: Essential Item?
My phone. Is that really sad? I just feel like I can do anything if I have my phone with me. I can run my business, keep in touch with my friends and family, I can even pay for things with Apple Pay so I don’t even need a wallet. I also take pictures of everything I do, so…. yup, the answer is definitely my phone.
F: Favourite Colour?
Probably Orange. Although, I’m also partial to a bit of mint green.
G: Gummy Bears or Worms?
I’m not really a sweets person. I prefer chocolate. But if I had to choose? Worms. What does that even say about me?!
H: Home Town?
This is a hard one. I was born in Barnsley, but grew up in Staffordshire. We moved to Lincolnshire when I was 14 and I still go there to visit my mum and brother so I guess that’s ‘home’? But I live in Guernsey, so that’s home too.
I: Indulgence of Choice?
Chocolate. In any form. I’d probably give up everything else if I could still have chocolate. I’m currently working on cutting down on sugar so any chocolatey sugar-free recipe ideas are welcome in the comments below!
J: January or July?
July. Even though I like the freshness of starting a new year, I’m such a Summer baby.
Nope. Not yet anyway.
L: Life isn’t complete without?
Friends and Family. And chocolate. And reality tv. And sunshine. Not necessarily in that order.
M: Marriage Date?
Yes please! (haha)
N: No of Brothers or Sisters?
One brother. Called Dan. Hates social media. But we get on great!
O: Oranges or Apples?
Apples. Preferably with almond butter to dip them in.
Snakes. It used to be spiders, but I really, really hate snakes.
“What’s meant to be will be.” I probably live by that, which stops me having any regrets. Which I like.
R: Reasons to Smile today?
It’s a week til my birthday, the sun is out, I worked a half day, I booked a new client, I had a glass of wine for lunch and I’m heading out for dinner with Rob and my mum to a new place in town.
S: Season of Choice?
Summer. Every time.
T: Tag 5 people
I’d like to consider everyone who reads this tagged! So if you don’t have a blog, then pop your answers below in the comments! 😀
U: Unknown Fact About Me?
I used to play the cello but I stopped because I was never interested in practicing in between lessons and I had to always wear trousers because it wasn’t very ladylike sticking it between my legs.
I presume this means my favourite? Sweet potato. Particularly as fries, dipped in mayo. But, I do eat a lot of green vegetables too and yes, I do often veg out on the sofa.
W: Worst Habit?
Probably picking the dead skin on my feet. TMI, I know, but you did ask. And it’s all because of my new obsession with Baby Foot.
X: X-ray or Ultrasound?
Ummm, I guess ultrasound because if you have an X-ray, it probably isn’t a good thing! Whereas, presumably, my first ultrasound will be when I have a child and therefore I won’t have broken something?!
Y: Your Favourite Food?
Z: Zodiac Sign?
Gemini, which I’ve heard can mean I’m two-faced – or have a two sides to my personality. I guess that could be true I’m a very excited, positive person and a very negative, emotional person all-in-one. It’s a lot to deal with.
