It’s taken me a while to write this. Straight after I completed Week 4 of Kayla Itsines Bikini Body Guide, I got on the scales and got my healthy selfies on last week. I’ve fit in all of the workouts, I’ve done extra cardio and I’ve been super positive. And what do I get? Nothing. My weight hadn’t changed at all. Boo. 0.0lb change.

How did that make me feel? Not great. Then I realised that I hadn’t actually been that good with my diet. Even when eating well, I probably ate too much in terms of portion size. I went on holiday and ate and did what I wanted. I felt really disappointed in myself. BUT, I was proud to fit all of the exercise in and I can’t go back and fix what’s done. AND I don’t want to start again from Week 1 because I do feel I have made some progress (with any luck some of this is lost fat and gained muscle…). So after a day or so of moping, I decided to pick myself back up and attack the world again.
Anyway, here is how my week 4’s workouts went:
Week 4 – Kayla Itsines Bikini Body Guide
MON – (as last week) LISS: Cliffs of Moher hike and Pitch&Putt game
TUES – (AM) Workout 1: Legs
WEDS – (PM) Workout 2: Arms & Abs
THURS – LISS: Walking/Running Errands
FRI – (missed workout 3)
SAT – Rest Day
SUN – LISS: Run 6km
This week, I had a busy week and got pretty frustrated when I couldn’t fit in Workout 3 at the end of the week as I had a very busy Friday and then my mum was staying for the weekend. I had thought that I should do it on Sunday night but I do have a half marathon in a few weeks and I’ve been a bit too focused on BBG, so I figured a quick run would sort out my body and my mind. No more excuses! I’m planning for Week 5 to be better. I will up my running and I will fit in my workouts and, despite a trip to Italy at the weekend, I will eat better and look after myself more. It’s a new start and I have 8 weeks until my birthday so that’s plenty of time to still make a change.
