A Girls’ Guide to Vegas, baby!

Want in on a little secret about Las Vegas? It’s a woman’s town! For every typical bachelor party going on in Sin City, there is a group of girls having twice the fun. It’s the only place on earth where one can party the night away in Ancient Rome, have brunch with the girls in Paris, and dinner in New York.

Girls just want to have fun, right? Well, nothing says fun like the ultimate trip to Vegas, baby! There’s an endless list of casinos, shows, restaurants, hotels, and other fun things that promise to thrill.

A girl’s gotta sleep… and eat

The hotel can make or break the girls-only trip, so choose carefully. While it really depends on everyone’s take on what type of fun will be had, a good way to go is to choose a lavish, fun resort that has everything. For girls that just want to have fun, the Flamingo Hotel and Casino is ideally located on the Strip, while a more adventurous group may opt for Caesars Palace. The Mirage Las Vegas is also a great place for ladies that love contemporary design and easy access to all of Vegas’ best gambling opportunities.

Just remember, many of the best hotels in Vegas feature some of the best places to eat in town. You can start the morning at Café Vettre at ARIA Resort & Casino with a casual and contemporary breakfast. Enjoy a proper high tea at the Bellagio’s Petrossian Bar or a late lunch at the Market Café at Vdara Hotel (the California Coastal menu is to die for). Close the evening with dinner at Le Cirque at the Bellagio or Rice and Company at the Luxor.

The day is for shopping…and spas

There has never been a girls’ trip that hasn’t had at least some of the focus on shopping and spa treatments – and thankfully, Las Vegas has plenty of both. Fill the daylight hours satiating everyone’s shopping, spa, and appetite urges. For a little taste of luxury, start with a relaxing day at Mandalay Bay’s Bathhouse enjoying the flowing waterfall and rejuvenating spa treatments. Other spas not to miss include The Spa at the Wynn, Wet at TI, and the Christophe Salon at the MGM Grand.

After a morning of unwinding, head out for some serious shopping. Las Vegas is a fashionista’s heaven filled with malls built into many of the major hotels. Stop in at Crystals at CityCenter, Grand Canal Shoppes at the Venetian, and Miracle Mile for tons of boutiques filled with the likes of Agent Provocateur, Tiffany & Co., Chanel, Christian Louboutin, and more. For the thriftier girls, don’t miss the Las Vegas Premium Outlets North.

A night out on the town

Even if one weren’t a gambler, any trip to Vegas would be incomplete without breezing through the casinos, but do it in style. Be sure not to miss the opulent and glamorous Bellagio. The luxury and class coupled with excitement makes the game floor one of the great Vegas icons. For something a little more subdued, stop by the MGM Grand with more than 3,500 slot machines and 165 game tables.

After hitting the casinos, why not take in a show? Just like Broadway in New York City, Las Vegas is known for its shows. A group of girls may just love Menopause the Musical at the Luxor or take a few hours to be awed by Cirque du Soleil’s O at the Bellagio. For something a little more risqué and fun, see the famous Chippendale’s dancers – perfect for a bachelorette party! For ladies on a budget, take in the free Sirens show in front of Treasure Island or the Atlantis Show at Caesars Palace.

And remember girls; don’t forget to bring more than just high heels! Sure, they look great for a night out on the town, but pack those comfy flats for the days of shopping and sightseeing.
