This weekend, I popped along to a lovely little event on Kew Green in London hosted by Royal Albert. They have been on a tea tour around London, hosting pop up afternoon teas, free for the public. With delights such as Patisserie Valerie macaroons, mini cupcakes and creamy whipped ice cream served with Earl Grey or English Breakfast tea (not together, except in one bizarre case) in dainty little printed Royal Albert cups and saucers, it was all such a pleasant experience. Add to that, the fact that the sun came out and there was a cricket game going in the background, it really became a lovely English afternoon. The dress up box was also a hit kids and adults alike, who got made over in 40s style, to fit with the Great Gatsby-esque High Tea experience. The tea tour events are free and the last one is at Spitalfields, London on October 5th. Go along!
Thanks go to Royal Albert for letting me know about the event!
