2010 Golden Globes: Fashion Report

Last night’s Golden Globe awards were a bit of a washout both weather and fashion-wise. In terms of colour anyway. This season is all about florals and pretty pastels, yet many stars turned to old favourite black for the the ceremony. Penelope Cruz looked Old-Hollywood-Glamour in the laced black dress and matching umbrella, whilst Jennifer Aniston wowed in a fabulous Valentino number showing that she may be single, but she has still got it! Her best friend Courtney Cox Arquette also looked pretty stunning as husband David held the umbrella for her. And Mariah Carey showed a little more than we wanted to see in her little black number. Maybe black isn’t always the safe option.

Getting in the springtime mood were a few stars. Emily Blunt glowed in gorgeous D&G ruffles, whilst Heidi Klum looked post-baby fabulous in her simple Cavalli gown. Drew Barrymore pulled out all of the stops in a one-shouldered Atelier Versace piece whilst Nicole Kidman showed you can be pale and still wear pale very well indeed.

However, there were a couple of stars who chose to brighten up the evening with a little colour. Sandra Bullock wore a deep purple Bottega Veneta dress that was a little too sheer over the legs but a good, bold choice for Spring. And Cameron Diaz stepped away from the safe zone in a gorgeously simple red gown by Alexander McQueen.

Who wore what the best for you?
